The Infamy of Crete Part I: the Problem of Being “European”

We cannot leave our discussion of the Greco-Roman without parsing one of the central tales emerging through this Myth body via Crete, “the first European civilization.” Its symbols will appear in later JEM and, in general, it has much to teach us. Indeed, even more so because it is almost certainly Semitic in origin and perspective.

Again, with Crete it appears we find an ancient civilization that was critically formative to the development of Jews in their current form. It contains many questions, and thus, we can be assured, as many answers, have we the fastidiousness and sincerity to accept them. I speak, of course, of the tale of the tragic Cretan king Minos.

As with all JEM, first it is critical to know the identity of our characters. Minos, the first King of Crete is said to have been descended of Jupiter and Europa. Hence, descended of the Aryan Sky God himself, we understand Minos to be of at least half Aryan lineage. His mother Europa, on the other hand, whose name is, of course, closely connected to the name Europe, is of a much more dubious origin.

Europa is a Phoenician princess and sister of Phoenix by which Phoenicia is named. Phoenix is a Semite. Indeed, this study discusses the mythological figure of the phoenix as a Semitic figure and we can be sure the names here are related. Europa is also the brother of Cadmus, the first “Greek Hero.” Though with Cadmus we encounter something very similar to an “America Superhero” and thus see a model for Religious and Artistic propaganda emerge. This is something we will forever be conscious of going forward. Indeed, the Phoenician Cadmus is certainly a Semitic figure. His name, may, in fact, contain the meaning “east.” Though this etymology is uncertain.

Though Cadmus is a dragon slayer, ostensibly an Aryan archetype appearing most famously in Apollo, the great serpent he slays is in the employ of Aryans. To wit, it guards the “sacred spring of Ares” to which Cadmus desires access. This is certainly a reference to Aryan genetics or the “blood of Ares.” Here we remember water, especially freshwater, as a symbol that commonly indicates Aryan blood. Indeed, Cadmus slays the dragon with a heavy stone, another Semitic symbol.

Likewise Cadmus will famously sow the Theban nobility by planting the teeth of the same dragon. This indicates a Semitic origin to this ruling race. Indeed, Cadmus will eventually turn into a serpent himself. Thus we see clearly, in the sweep of this narrative, the “caducean” or Mercury’s two serpents “fighting.”

Europa and Cadmus are typically the offspring of Agenor whom was born to the Semitized Neptune and Libya. Agenor’s mother Libya is given the parentage of Epaphus and Memphis. In Greek mythology, Epaphus is understood as descended of Jupiter and Io, the latter who is frequently symbolized by a white cow. Yet Epaphus was also identified with the Black Bull God Apsis. Here the colors are meaningful as we will discuss.

The figure of Apis himself, as depicted in statuary by the Caucasian figure Serapsis, was anthropomorphized when incorporated into the Greek pantheon and almost certainly “whitewashed.” Indeed, Herodotus reports that the Egyptian Myth held Apis, rather than descended of Jupiter, to have been conceived by a mysterious heavenly fire, to wit, a fire God. Hence, according to our understanding of symbols, perhaps a Semitic fatherhood is suggested.

Europa’s great grandmother Memphis, for her part, is the eponymous maternal founder of the city Memphis. Memphis was the seat of both the Ptah cult and the Black Bull Cult of Apis. These cults are, in my estimation, doubtlessly related to the bull cults that would form in Crete, with Ptah, for example, finding an equivalent in the figure of Daedalus. Indeed, the Myth of Europa’s abduction by Jupiter to Crete, even if via Phoenicia, suggests the belief and possibility that the Cretan cult descended from the Egyptian one.

Hence even the term Europe becomes problematic for us, no less so because of its connection to the Cretan tale of which Europa is most closely associated. This is perhaps the definitive tale of Aryan decline. To be clear, I don’t suggest a weakened claim on the territory now known as Europe. I only bring up an issue of nomenclature. If European countries may be renamed, as they have been, surely may also continents.

Rather, we are given only all that we claim, and presently Aryans assert no claim on Europe or, indeed, any other blade of grass on the planet. Instead, this problematic etymology should be considered a profound relief to us, whenever the cattle bleating of a frequently non-racialist, petty European, nationalism stirs. We are Apollonians now. And no worries, the world is for Apollo to rule.

    1. I haven’t read it in its entirety (though I know the thesis and have referenced it). I have however discovered a clear theme in Jewish Esoteric Moralization indicating a Jewish belief that Robert The Bruce and Scottish Rite Freemasonry are Jewish. I actually have little reason to doubt that this is true. In any case, it appears to be what Jewish Esotericists believe.
